Threads, the social network positioning itself as an alternative to Twitter, recently rolled out a web version. However, users quickly noticed a significant missing feature: the inability to quote posts. Fortunately, this issue has now been addressed.
Adding Quotes
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, the parent company overseeing the Threads project, announced the introduction of quoting functionality on the microblogging platform. To quote a post, users need to open the post they want to cite, click the repost icon (represented by two arrows underneath it), and select the quoting option from the drop-down menu, as reported by The Verge.
Enhanced Mobile Experience
In addition to quoting, Threads’ mobile applications have also been updated to include the ability to follow discussion threads and receive notifications for new comments. However, it’s worth noting that not all social network users have confirmed the presence of this function.
Expanded Search
Threads has expanded its search capabilities as well, notes NIX Solutions. Initially, search was limited to users, but it now extends to include posts. While this feature was initially introduced in most English- and Spanish-speaking countries, the network plans to expand its coverage further in the future.
