Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said the app now allows all users around the world to upload public videos to their devices. Before this launch, you could only save videos to the Instagram app for later viewing.
A download button appeared in the bottom menu, which opens after clicking “Share” under the video, the publication writes, but vc.ru editors have not yet been able to use the function.
Users can also disable the ability to download their Reels. To do this, go to “Settings” – “Privacy” – Reels.
NIX Solutions notes that if you upload a video that uses a licensed audio clip, the uploaded video will not contain audio. Only videos with original audio tracks will be heard in the uploaded clip.
Downloaded Reels will have an Instagram watermark with the author’s account name. TikTok has a similar system.
