Meta’s microblogging service Threads has reached 200 million monthly active users in just 13 months since its launch, according to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri. This significant growth was achieved thanks to the app’s integration with Instagram, which allowed it to attract a large number of users early on. Threads had already surpassed 100 million monthly active users in October last year. “My hope is that Threads can inspire ideas that bring people together and that this amazing community continues to grow,” Mosseri wrote.
Comparison to Competitors
Despite its impressive results, Threads still lags behind social network X (Twitter), which Elon Musk said had 600 million monthly active users in May, notes NIX Solutions.
