NIX Solutions: Threads Reaches 200M Monthly Active Users

Meta’s microblogging service Threads has reached 200 million monthly active users in just 13 months since its launch, according to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri. This significant growth was achieved thanks to the app’s integration with Instagram, which allowed it to attract a large number of users early on. Threads had already surpassed 100 million monthly active users in October last year. “My hope is that Threads can inspire ideas that bring people together and that this amazing community continues to grow,” Mosseri wrote.

Comparison to Competitors

Despite its impressive results, Threads still lags behind social network X (Twitter), which Elon Musk said had 600 million monthly active users in May, notes NIX Solutions. However, according to media reports and independent research, X’s growth has slowed and is at around 251 million daily active users. We’ll keep you updated on any changes in these figures.

Future Outlook

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is confident in Threads’ potential and has set a goal of reaching a billion users. “We’re making solid progress toward building what looks like the next big social app. We’re seeing deep engagement, and I’m really excited about the trajectory,” Zuckerberg said. While he acknowledges that reaching that goal could take years, he’s still very excited and believes in the project.
