Badges live on Instagram: what it is and how it will work
Badges are special badges that money can buy and donate during a live broadcast. Analogue of gifts in broadcasts on Tik-Tok.
How donations will work on Instagram
Before broadcasting, you can set up a target for donations. When someone sends a donation, the streamer will receive a notification. Messages from users who have made donations will be highlighted with hearts. You can thank viewers for donations during the broadcast, as well as using the “Thank you” sticker in the story.
Badges cost $0.99, $1.99 and $4.99. Badges for no more than $250 can be sent per broadcast. After the amount of donations on your account exceeds $100, you can order a payment to a bank card or Paypal account. The withdrawal period is from 1 to 7 working days. At the same time, Google and Apple withhold a commission of 30%, while Instagram itself does not take a commission yet, says NIX Solutions.
Broadcasters can see the total number of badges purchased and the total income, as well as progress towards the goal. More detailed information on earnings is available both during the live broadcast and after it ends in the professional dashboard.
Badges are available to all eligible US users, notes Postium. In the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Japan, Australia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico by invitation only.
